Key is at least partially responsible for the upgrade size on the team as a whole. No more looking like weak midgets vs power 5 even when we lose
The criticism he received for the O lone's performance is warranted. He did a good job getting the team ready during a tough week. He seemed to be talking to Weinke quite a bit during the game. I also noticed Weinke chewing someone's ass. Haven't seen that in a while. You know you’re out there. You opened your mouth all week long and said that he had no business being the interim coach. You said his offensive line sucked. Get lost. Go find another team. You’re losers for not supporting tech this week. You’re quitters. It was one win while he’s been interim coach but it was a huge win and that’s what counts.
Not me. Count me as impressed but I want to see how the rest of the season goes. Just glad right now that we pulled the trigger on the change early enough to get a good look at what we've got in the tank.1 win and some people are ready to give Key a Jimbo Fisher contract
I do not want to give any coach a gold plated contract. Going forward we should offer a fair base salary and generous incentives for significant accomplishments (division title, conference title, 10 wins, bowl game, conference and national coach of the year, etc.). The buyouts for both sides should drop after the last regular season game.1 win and some people are ready to give Key a Jimbo Fisher contract

Bet we never saw Collins do this ---
I think they said Frank (Interim AD actually handed it to him), but I don't know whether the team was asked or not. It sounded like it was a team decision. So who gave Key the game ball?
Here's the honest question: Does anyone here think Geoff Collins coaches us to victory against Pitt last night?
Still, I'm not for CBK as "The Guy" unless we get some serious OC/DC talent. I'll stay on Team Prime.
Not a single poster has said that.1 win and some people are ready to give Key a Jimbo Fisher contract
In both of those cases the refs should have flagged Pitt for delay of game because they slow-rolled their substitutions. There was under five seconds left on the play clock by the time their player was off the field. One guy would slowly trot out there, the other guy wouldn't leave until the first guy was all the way to him. Then, he'd slowly go off.To be completely fair, there were a couple of times we nearly had a delay of game, butKey had the presence of mind to call timeouts.
In a different game those timeouts may have cost us. But also, seeing such a vast improvement in basics within a week of changing HCs, I suspect the delay of game issue can be ironed out fairly quickly.
