I don't care if we get worn down and lose 45-7. This is remarkable for 20 minutes. Key has gotten a bunch of kids that have been blown off the field from the opening kick the last 4 meetings. This reminds me of OLearys first games vs #1 FSU in 1995 and 1996.

Hey take it easy, how about 42-7. Some of us took Tech +36.

Just hope it isn't a mentality of not knowing if you'll have a job in a week and is something more permanent.

I don't think it's going to get to that because we're shortening the game. It could if we get crazy with the ball though.
 
Key had the inexplicable game at UVA, but Sims got hurt and Gibson just wasn't ready. The Miami thing was all TO's. Both bad, especially if you have ideas of taking the interim label off. But the team is COMPLETELY different now.

It's concerning that those were the only games we were favored in. Can we only do well when we are 20+ pt underdogs?
 
I am going to be disappointed if he doesn’t get it. Emotional? Yes. But sometime you just have to go with your heart.

Yes somewhat, the Miami game we shouldn't have been favored, IMPO, but it was butt-ugly. You have games like that. The UVA game was the give-away game. Not to score an offensive TD is really bad, but they were no doubt counting on Sims. Somehow, he seems to be in the doghouse now. I dunno.
 
We need to make their drives take as much time as possible to stretch the game out.

It's not like it 100% disqualifies him, but it's a concern. Plenty of coaches thrive when no one expects success but can't do it when expectations occur.
 
Maybe since we are going with the budget coach we can get some good NIL money from dollar general.
