"What offensive scheme?" [the one we can run with our players]
My goodness, I think he gets it.
My goodness, I think he gets it.

What's the time stamp around that?"What offensive scheme?" [the one we can run with our players]

When has that worked? Sincere question. When has a major college offense been based on changing scheme from year to year based on personnel and had success? This isn’t High School.
I would worry that would mean a coach doesn’t have a detailed idea of how to exploit various defensive tactics.
We have 0 P5 TEs on the roster. It's April 2023. Gold/White Spring Game. We shift into flexbone before the first play from scrimmage. Half the stadium shoots themselves into orbit. Some spontaneously combusts. The remaining commit seppuku."What offensive scheme?" [the one we can run with our players]

My best guess is that it was a subtle jab at the way things were done under the previous administration -- there seemed to be quite a few of those in this press conference, some subtle, some not-so-subtle.
Lots of them.
Thanks for the clarification. There is some grey area here. You do need to adjust to personnel but if a scheme isn’t well thought out and taught, then defenses will eat you alive.I think TIA misrepresented the question and answer a bit. The question was specifically about whether we were going to get a "unique" offense, referencing the TO. CBK started off by saying that he has a vision for exactly what the offense will look like, knows what the schemes and Xs and Os should look like, and is currently interviewing OCs.
He added the bit about having an offense that fits the personnel at the end. My best guess is that it was a subtle jab at the way things were done under the previous administration -- there seemed to be quite a few of those in this press conference, some subtle, some not-so-subtle.
Haven't listened yet but I think this is just coaching rhetoric and nothing new. I remember that there were people under the Collins regime that said this (Patenaude?), if not Collins himself."What offensive scheme?" [the one we can run with our players]

Me too. After watching this and watching Deion I am very satisfied.
As he should. He went 3-1 against those mongrels as a player. He's demonstrating he has a clear vision of what's needed and all the power players appear to be buying in.One thing CBK made clear is that he expects us to beat U[sic]GA. Or, more accurately, he expects us to dominate them. I got the feeling Cabrera and Batt may have been wondering what they got themselves into when they are sitting next to CBK and he says, "There is no better feeling than that of DOMINATING your opponent."
It will be a long road to get there in my opinion. But Key is very publicly committing to having a program that is on that level.
Overall liked the presser but Key went long and all-in on the dominating UGA comment. That feels almost comical given how unrealistic it is. He won't be able to back it up unless Tech backs up the cash truck for football. And then, it will take many years. I don't see it happening. Not sure why he felt the need to box himself in like that other than pure emotion getting the best of him.One thing CBK made clear is that he expects us to beat U[sic]GA.
