KSU fires Bohannon or he resigned?

I don’t buy those anymore since the clown told us he grew up a GT fan and coaching GT was his dream job.
The clown implied it, to deceive us, but he just mentioned going to the charity game with his dad/grandad at Bobby Dodd. That was the annual Thanksgiving JV game between us and uga that we longer have. He was definitely cheering for uga. I bet he’d been to zero Tech games not involving uga before joining our staff.

Weinke may be headed to FSU since they cleaned house. We need to have a back up plan in case he and Buster end up elsewhere next year.

And clown spent last year as an analyst for Kirbs over in Athens.
More reason for that guy to f off even past Ted Turner playing Nearer My God to Thee on TBS.

anybody get Ken S' piece on KSU screwing over Bohannon?

Yikes. Imagine if Weinke left for FSU and King followed him, and Buster bolted for UGAg and Philo followed him. This place would burn to the ground lol.

As much as that would suck, that is the unfortunate reality that we live in now.

Maybe we could get Gunner Stockton to come here then.
King and Philo are a couple of inches taller. But he runs pretty close to King and has Philo's arm.

Just to rustle some jimmies.

Just a hunch, but KSU has around 45K students and growing. The potential is there. NDSU has around 12K students and no growth.
Yes, the potential is there, but they would have been better off establishing the program with some conference championships and FCS playoff games before making the jump. Students and sidewalk fans want to see success before they become part of an enthusiastic fanbase. KSU threw some cold water on the program, and now it will take years to be competitive at the FBS level.

If they ever are. This could be a program collapsing decision.

As an analogy:
in 1992, when UCF played Division II, its enrollment was 20K.
Now enrollment is 68K.
They went from D2 to FCS (I-AA) briefly to FBS.
It's still mostly a commuter school, though, correct?

Though I think they had a plan in place. Doesn't appear KSU has any kind of plan in place. Unless they got a consultation from the underwear gnomes.

To be fair, from 2017 through the 2021 season he went 49-10 with three conference championships and 4 trips to the FCS playoffs, advancing to the quarterfinals twice. The only year without a playoff was the Covid shortened season. Starting in 2022 they slowly began their transition to FBS (first had a season in Conference USA) and it has been downhill since.

Still no reasoning for firing him, especially considering the timing of it.

KSU's candidates are pretty wild. There's always someone who will take on that job just to get the HC title on his resume, but from what I'm hearing the fans really want either Buster Faulker or Drew Cronic. Cronic is doing well at Navy but from my understanding he doesn't really want to deal with transfer portal or NIL, which makes Navy an ideal place for him. That'd be a hefty paycut to work for an AD that their own students are petitioning to have removed.

I hope Bohannon signs on with Army or Navy and learn the next evolution of the option. Seems like a good guy, a class act. It's a shame they'd do that to someone who built the only success KSU has ever known.

There's no way that someone like Faulkner takes that job. Also, apparently their NIL budget was only $5,000 this year, so...

Chronic can coach. Watched a lot of Mercer games while my daughter was there.
