Is that really an upgrade over being OC at Bama?

He must really be tired of being Saban's bitch.
 
Supposedly Bama didn't intend to renew his contract which ended after this season. So it was this or be LSU's OC. He interviewed at Houston but obviously didn't get that one.

It was funny how the HOU AD (or whoever it was) came out vehemently denying rumors Kiffin was set to be hired by them. Said STTE, "That was put out there by his agent because that's how they chose to play the game ..." Was a pretty skrong denial.
 
There should be plenty of hot new tail to chase in Miami. Puts Tuscaloosa to shame. Kiffin will be in hog heaven.
 
Bama brought in Sark to replace Kiffin. Makes you wonder why Sark would be a better fit for Saban than Kiffin. Guess we will see if he learned anything after his first go-round of head coaching roulette.
 
My dream drama scenario: Kiffin slacks off on playcalling duties in the MNC, just daydreaming about Kiffin's undefeated FAU owls crushing a 2 loss Saban coached Alabama in the Sugar bowl, Alabama loses their first playoff game like 3-7, Kiffin packs up like "see ya wouldn't wanna be ya eat my shorts" and FAU calls and says "nah nevermind, the way you call plays his shit m8".

If I thought Kiffin had a shred of pride or dignity left, I'd say it'll be funny to watch him flounder at a program like FAU. But I don't think he really gives a shit about the quality of the program as long as he gets paid and has more freedom to do whatever the öööö he wants on and off the field.
 
Also, I'd like to bet that Lane gets fired before he coaches a single snap. It's time he reached that inevitable stage of his career.
