Last time we beat UGAg I was...

...I had recently passed the PE and my firstborn was on the way. Of course, I didn't know either of those things at the time.

I remember emailing around some pics of our players with pieces of hedge in their teeth.

Let's see... last time we beat UGAG... I honestly can't remember. Didn't we beat them in basketball a couple of years ago?

I didn't realize Kyle played NCAA. I see sodomy in his future. And now that I'm looking.. I see it in his past as well.

Perhaps there are some people whose destinies are best left veiled.

at least you warn people of you personality type with your gamer name, that is generous of you; although i might suggest hyperz"x" to show that you like to quote unrelated material from a variety of junk-status sources (like urbandictionary)

My wife and I were less than 1 year married and living in a condo in Dunwoody. Now we have 2 kids several years apart in age, 2 dogs and a house in East Cobb.

My wife and i had been married 2 years, lived in Tampa, and had a small home and no kids. We now have 3 kids, a too-large mortgage, and an incredible marriage.

wow, that was a long time ago....

The last time we beat uGag.

Hmmmm. I went to see Bobby Dodd speak back when and I remember his words like he said them yesterday.

"Back when we beat 'em 8 straight, you couldn't find a damn dog."

Now, of course, they outnumber cockroaches in a public housing project.

I also remember reading how Pat Dye clinched his interview at Auburn. The interviewer, weary of a very long losing streak to Alabama, bluntly asked Coach Dye:

"How long will it take you to beat Alabama?"
To which Coach Dye replied with equal bluntness:
"60 minutes."
He got the job.
He beat Alabama the first time he played them.

I imagine Coach Johnson's interview went along similar lines. And since I think we are closer to the next victory then we are the last victory, I'll refrain from recalling the so-called glory days of 3 straight and imagine that the glory days of 8 straight - a distant memory to all but the ancients - are more in line with what Coach Johnson has in mind.

Somewhere, Coach Dodd is looking down on our program and he sees Coach Johnson and he probably wonders why it took so long to "get it right." And I suspect he's sporting that trademark grin of his. The one that drove Bear Bryant up the wall like no one else could. Untill Pat Dye, that is.
