Running from the SEC. Sees easier path to success. What a bizarre move.
Ah yes totally forgot about that. Stress levels about to ratchet up to 11 at Oklahoma.Running from the SEC. Sees easier path to success.
You gotta think if your all-star coach were so firmly against moving to the SEC they would've thought twice about it.Running from the SEC. Sees easier path to success.
That's a big gamble. He was already highly successful, well compensated, and competing for national championships. The idea he would risk all that because he was afraid of playing Alabama every year doesn't make a lot of sense to me.As Pete Carroll proved if you can keep the Cali kids home you can build a big time program. The west has been a college football desert for years. A guy like Riley can take it over and build a power. He can let the usual suspects fight for the kids in Florida/Georgia while he feasts on California and the other western states. Gonna be fun watching him build them up.

Guy candy for the ladiesAdam Schefter says OU is targeting Kliff Kingsbury. Not so sure about that move.

Schefter said he only has one year remaining with the Cardinals. If the Cardinals are getting rid of him (but why now? Doesn't make sense), Oklahoma makes sense. Tho, with a playoff run, they might need to wait a long time. He'd be an idiot to take it. He's probably the frontrunner for Coach of the Year in the NFL. OU fans would be disgruntled with him if he failed to make the CFP next year.
College jobs will be waiting for him down the line even if this is his peak in the pros.
