germandawg is hilarious. He didn't like his seats at BDS when he was 6 years old so he became a dwag. Because engineers design stadiums, he went to Southern Tech instead of Georgia Tech.

I'm still waiting for his post about how his SPSU degree is every bit as good as one from GT.

I have been going to GT games my entire life and used to listen to Ciraldo, usually with my granddad, when we weren't there. Of course, GT was never on TV back then. You just got Michigan/Southern Cal or Notre Dame called by Keith Jackson. I never knew growing up that Grant Field wasn't the greatest example of a college football stadium in the country - even though going to the bathroom in the LE was a scary thing.

Bobby Dodd should have never walked up to that podium and withdrew us from the SEC. He should have kept working at what he felt was right and worked for change. Withdrawing us from the SEC hurt us and helped UGAg.

Having been to Athens many times, seeing what most other people consider to be a great college football stadium/experience, I still believe we do.

Agreed. I was there for the Southern game this year. Free tix. It was a Tar Heel, Gator, Vol, and me. It isn't really anything to spectacular. Facilities are so so. Not a lot of concourse room. Bathrooms crummy. Nothing there changed my mind. If I ever left being a GT fan, I would probably just defect to a smaller school like Tennessee-Chattanooga. Nice small stadium in an area that is really starting to boom.
