Here's another bucket of gas to throw on UGAg's emotional fire during the game. Hopefully it'll be 17-0 by then.

Georgia will honor the Bulldogs’ legendary radio play-by-play announcer during the Georgia Tech game on Saturday at Sanford Stadium. Because the team will honor 27 seniors before kickoff and they want Munson to enjoy a completely-full stadium with everybody in their seats, the “ceremony” will be conducted between the first and second quarters.

“We wanted to do it when the whole crowd is in there,” said Georgia assistant athletics director Charley Whittemore, who is one of Munson’s closest friends. “Larry’s really excited about it because he’s never been on the field during the game. He always walked straight up to the press box before games and right back to his car afterward. He’s never been on the field when the stands were packed and everybody’s cheering.”

And there is expected to be quite an ovation for Munson. A video tribute on the jumbotron scoreboard will precede his appearance.

I think I might throw up in the stands. The only way I won't is if we're up by at least two scores or something, and that's going to be tough to do.

It sucks for Munson though! when it is 28-0 to end the 1st quarter most of the fan base will be leaving.

Someone up in the 600's sections should sneak a bullhorn into the game and blast Larry's famous "Wake Forest or Maryland or somebody" clip before/during/after the ceremony.

At least that will give me a few minutes to flip over to the uva/vt game to see uva go up 14-0 or so.

Ahahaha...I happen to be in 610, but will need some ideas on how to get a freakin bullhorn into the mutt stadium...

Yeah... 610 represent... probably passing out due to lack of oxygen at that elevation.

I think if UVA goes up big during our game the Tech sections should sing their alma mater. It's to the tune of Auld Lang Syne, so we wouldn't have to really know the lyrics, just wordlessly make the tune.

Is the UVA/VT game on at the same time?

Ruh row shaggy. I'll be in Virginia for thanksgiving.

edit: I see, noon ESPN apparently.

This will really suck if we jump on them early and is probably why they are doing it. If we come out and dominate them, it will kill our momentum and allow them time to adjust.

That's hilarious that they don't trust their fans - who supposedly revere that clown - to show up on time to honor him.

I hope the drunken fool falls down or vomits or something.

That would be the biggest excuse I would have ever heard. My guess as to the reason they are doing it is the guy retired and they wanted to do it during a time when the crowd was in the stands because he's never been on the field like that before. It will still be disgusting, but it's not some ploy to allow St. Richt to outcoach Paul Johnson.

They clearly say that they wanted a full stadium, that is why the are doing it at the end of the 1st quarter. A good portion of their fans will be leaving at half time due to the beatdown the Jackets are going to lay on them. The end of the 1st is the only available time. :fingersx:

this is so that they can make adjustments to the defense when we are shredding them like toilet paper in the run game

Unless the adjustment is tackling drills and teaching them assignment football via osmosis, I'm not that worried.

The story of this game is our LB's vs. Knowshon and a banged up Secondary versus MoMass and Green. If we can keep those battles under control and at worst a -1 TO margin, this game is winnable.

Did you see the Bama game?

the Dline needs to hit Stafford, even if not a sack, on every passing play. he is a puss, and will start throwing poorly. we cannot give him time with AJGreen and Mass running in our secondary. they are too good to let them roam.
