Is there a team we play this year that makes you think, "their A game beats our A game"? I'm not seeing one. So if we go undefeated, even in a crap conference (we'd still have 3 SEC wins), that should mean MNC game, unless of course 3 teams finish unbeaten. I know this is all way premature, but...

I havent seen our A game yet, but im pretty sure everyone is worried about being @ F$U(we will see tomorrow just how worried we should be)... as far us going undefeated, we would get the same treatment as Utah did last year... sad but true

Depends on what our A game is, doesn't it? We have no idea right now.

See I don't think we would get the Utah treatment. We are still in a BCS conference, just look at what USC(w) did to a pathetic Pac10 for so many years.

No way we'd get the Utah treatment. We're in the ACC - we'd have beaten 3 SEC teams which holds a lot of merit, warrented or not. The only way we would get boxed out of the MNC is if there are two other undefeated teams at the end of the season. Utah isn't in a BCS conference either...we are.

Looking at our schedule ...I am looking no further ahead than Clemson right now.

vs Clemson since 1990:

GT has won 10, CU has won 9

GT has won one 10 point game in that span, the other 9 have been 4 points or less.

CU has won 3 blowouts, one 10 point game, and 5 by 5 points or less.

The home team has won 12 of the last 19

In October GT faces VT and FSU, has two road games against traditionally bottom-tier SEC teams and plays in Charlottesville where it hasn't beaten UVA since '90 (although after yesterday this game is not near as intimidating as I once considered it).

GT needs a 4-0 September. The most important game on the scedule is the next one --and the next one comes Thursday night vs Clemson

We could win every game or lose every game. It will be somewhere in between. At least we don't play Gardner Webb.

Last year UVA lost to Duke 31-3 and then beat Tech. I'm not less worried by UVA just because they lost to William & Mary.
