According to the usc fans who are insiders at rivals says he told them he wants to run more of a pro style offense and doesn't plan to go to gt.

throwing in the towel because of some posters on a Gamecock board?

That's funny because he was quoted yesterday as saying GT was his leader in an interview done by the Gamecocks Scout writer.

Let's see, the last 3 D-1 players to come out of Flowery Branch went to or are coming to GT (Shaw, Cross, and Drummond). He was at every home game last season and his brother got a chance to play as a true freshman. I think I like our chances here.

Honestly, we may not need him. Aycock's highlight video looks a crapload better than Connor looked in the high school playoffs.

That is the difference between a highlight video and actual play. In a highlight video you pick and chose your favorite plays, if you watch an entire game, things are not always going to be so nice, especially in the playoffs, where you are playing against better competition.

Connor may not play QB for us. I've heard he's an excellent athlete, and could play several positions. One issue for him is that he may want to play QB, and Spurrier may be telling him he can. If he came to GA Tech, he'd start out behind Nesbitt, big brother, Luallen, possibly Aycock and possibly Washington (though I think he ends up at WR or DB). It also seems to me that he's a bit short to play QB in a pro set, so VB may be shooting some bull here (anyone imagine that happening?) just to get an athlete of his stature there.

All in all, I think he's ours to lose.

No offense, but you do seem to be easily swayed by things like this. I can see saying wtte "it's not a done deal he's coming to Tech", or "he really is interested in WVU (which is what he said)". But to leap to "looks like we're not getting connor shaw" is just silly.

I do not look at the results in a video...nor the competition...so I could care less whether it is highlights.

You look at mechanics, decisioning, hips, pads, angles, hands.

Additionally, for QB's you look at release points, footwork, drop, etc.

Addtionally, for defense you look at angles, positioning, form tackling (do the hips drive through), tackle speed. If he is a DB, how does he turn and go?, backpedal, come up to make tackles or wait, etc.

Additionally, for lineman you are looking at hips, first step, pads, hands, etc.

I could care less if the play goes for 5 yds or 80 yds...you know a football player when you see one.

You seen Aycock's mesh reads? They look nice, and he comes out of them faster than Nesbitt does.

What a bunch of bologna.

I talked to Connor about 5 days ago. He knew the USCe offer was coming.

Man! I thought we were getting a player named Condor...

Connor's not nearly as exciting.

Bologna is also a city in Italy, must not forget that one good sir.

with a soccer team of the same name

The Bologna Baloney?

the much less imaginative Rossoblu (Red-Blues); in Italy they tend to use the color scheme as the nicknames
so AC Milan (red/black) is the Rossoneri while Inter Milan (black/blue) are the Nerrazurri, and so on

by that schema, Georgia Tech would be the Giallobianci

It would only be natural that a guy named Condor would be comfortable with other birds.
