LSU cheap shot

In his defense, watching it live...it was a late whistle and the crowd was going bonkers.

And he was jogging with his arm raised up...it should be a one game suspension. But I doubt it will be. Should've been an ejection at a minimum.

I'm surprised there wasn't a big fight on the field after that. Can't believe no one tried to hurt the guy who did that.
 
Most likely the equivalent of a targeting penalty, 1/2 game suspension. Les Miles should have him running Stadium steps until he cannot throw up anymore.
 
Equally bad, IMO. USC one is bad because balls, but LSU one is bad because that guy could have been seriously hurt.

Both are pretty messed up. The LSU one was probably more dangerous, but on the other hand, there is the argument (fairly weak imo) that he didn't realize the play was no longer live. There's really no ambiguity with the USC one.
 
I have not followed every minute of every game, but are you guys talking about either # 77, 72 or whoever for lsu?

Towards end of game?

I thought ref said he was ejected, which I thought suspends him for 1/2 of next game?

Yep, but I think half a game is not enough. What he did does not deserve the same penalty as an inadvertent targeting call during a live play.
