LSU cheap shot

Not sure I would really call that a cheap shot. Vicious and certainly punishable in today's world, though.
While this may not be worse in terms of gamesmanship, this is unbelievably more vicious to watch. Holy crap is that dangerous.

I'd argue that for the sake of the sport, this hit deserves a longer suspension just to make kids not do it any more.

Oh, and posting uproxx articles is a cheap shot too, so here's a handy gif to watch over and over. Dude got lit:

I have not followed every minute of every game, but are you guys talking about either # 77, 72 or whoever for lsu?

Towards end of game?

I thought ref said he was ejected, which I thought suspends him for 1/2 of next game?

That's the default punishment. Doesn't mean the team can't extend that suspension. In this case they definitely should, but Les Miles was already in defense mode after the game, saying that the player thought the play was live. Nevermind that it was a completely inappropriate hit even in the unlikely event he actually thought the play was still going.

It's because you don't know how to use the new forum software which is the best forum software ever written and stingtalk is the best deployment of said software in the history of the internet.

Has any coach ever done that since this procedure was implemented?

Since the procedure of ejections has been implemented? Yes, I assume there have been players suspended for more than the first half of the next game for on-field actions. It's not like he was ejected for a live action targeting penalty.

Eh. I think it depends on definition of cheap shot. Even when legal, I consider those blind sided de-cleaters to be cheap. It's the equivalent of punching someone in the back of the head during a bar fight, imo.

I'd like to submit this for consideration.

Dude was stumbling out of control and out of the play. Some people just get enjoyment out of maiming or possibly killing someone on the football field.

As for the LSU player. If he thought the play was still happening then he is dumb as a box of rocks since his teammates were walking around and the other players were celebrating. Also no one tackles like that. Coward should at least own up to his cheapshot.

That dick stomp was wrong lol. That should have caused a prison riot.
