LSU football player shot by his Dog

Gun safety, dudes. Should not have loaded it yet, much less left it.

Learn it. Live it. Love it.
Absolutely. Sad event, but I admire one of the quotes in the long FB post from one of his friends that was there. WTTE of "don't be afraid to be THAT GUY in the hunting group that's always reminding everybody else of safety." Great advice.

Yeah. When hunting, I’m never round in chamber ready to go until the actual hunt. Just scooting around in trucks or ATVs is always with an empty chamber for me.

I'm not going to search for the article, but that's the second "shot by my excited dog" case I've heard. I'm THAT gun safety guy.

Old Yeller II - Electric Boogaloo

Coming this fall, the classic tale of a heroic hound reimagined for the 21st century. A dog with attitude, Old Yellie is a bad bitch! She doesn't need you to interpret what she says, and she don't need no leash or commands, she is strong and independent. Join the fun as she navigates a revenge plot against her brutal ableist gun-loving oppressors using only paws and jaws she identifies as hands -- the hands of justice!

Rated PG13.

There ain’t no shooting like a pet dog shooting, cuz a pet dog shooting don’t stop!

Thought maybe it was a Remington model 700, since their triggers are extremely sensitive, but when I read it was at a duck hunt, I knew that couldn't be the case.

It's simple to keep your buddies from getting shot, but people still manage to screw it up.

Maybe the dog was trying to tell him he hates his job and wants to quit.

Poor dog, no more menage’s when he’s in the mood for a leg hump.

Is this a story similar to the dog ate my homework tall tale?

Never have a gun pointed at you, no matter the circumstance.

This story sounds way too bizarre. Losing a limb (or even part of it) is like every person’s worst nightmare.
