Apparently some guy from Sports Illustrated picks LSU to win over us in the CFA bowl. Here is what the corn dog pussies have to say about it:

Les Miles is have long practices than normal and Jefferson is not guaranteed to be the leader in the CFA bowl. They say that Lee will be ready to step in.

I hope we don't get deja vu from 2000 having a lead at the half and a QB change that leads them to victory.

Also, they have a "renewed sense of urgency" according to this article. It is always hard to know how deep to read into an article like this:

Wait, is this the same Stewart Mandel who works for SI? The same SI who predicted we would finish 3-9. Man, there's a source I would trust...

Has anyone heard what Miles is planning for his defense against GT? Buck on 680 is supposed to interview a reporter from Louisiana in the 6PM hour today and his teaser is that Miles is going 'old school' to defend against CPJ's offense.

Just wondering what he means by that? I will try to listen in if I get a chance.

Maybe they're going to try tackling, which is some antiquated technique that Georgia eschewed for black jerseys and dumb motivational tactics.

An LSU fan on "tigerdroppings" says:

Don't worry, our passing defense will probably make people wonder why GT's quarterback wasn't invited to the Heisman ceremony.

I gotta give it to the cajuns, they make fun of their team much better than we do/did.

I don't blame the delusional talk about having a good 'run defense' etc. One year ago, that's all I knew about run option football as well.

Were you able to listen to 680 and find out what Miles was talking about?

Old school may be a wide tackle 6 man line with 2 backers.

On the O I bet they wildcat it a LOT.

If you stick 6 on the line, the dive would be opened up. Not to mention, our passing game would be unbelievable, considering Nesbitt was originally a pocket passer.

An AJC article said LSU would practice with the scout offense not using a football. This would get the defenders used to staying on assignment instead of pursuing the ball. This seems to be a recurring theme with the teams we play, and it's probably the best strategy, but it still requires good one-on-one tackling. Obviously, if they fail to make the tackle, all that discipline doesn't really help.

Guys, consider how LSU has never figured out how to deal with the Wildcat package and Arkansas has dominated them, putting up tons of points when LSU won the MNC last year.

I'd say the wildcat is the closest thing they've seen to the flexbone, which is also going to rip them to shreds.
