did anyone expect Tech to be world beaters this season?
Imagine that. Another post after a loss blaming the defense. I guess you missed the elite offense 4th quarter of:What game did you watch?
Other than a few miscues (drops, head scratching play calls by their OC), BC could and should have scored on every possession.
In no world should we have been “beating up” on them. Our defense was bad in all aspects. No pressure, bad run D, bad secondary, out of position, etc.
King had some awful throws that led to INTs or stalled drives out when guys were wide open. He was 14-32…
Most logical people didn’t, and yet you’ll see many posters trying to rack up ‘likes” pretending to believe this team has any shot against the 3 bigger games remaining on the schedule.did anyone expect Tech to be world beaters this season?
No they weren’t. They were down by 15 to a team they were 6 point favorites over.Team was in it till the end. I think a few mental lapses at the end - perhaps fatigue, perhaps concentration and we took ourselves out of the game. Sad to see when we should've been beating up on bc. I think a re-watch will tell a lot more about what we need to improve.
We didn’t expect the ööööing öööö we’re seeing.did anyone expect Tech to be world beaters this season?
Because people are realizing we went shopping in the bargain bin and pulled out a scratched album of Goof Part Deux.I find it interesting that goof had NFL talent and got nearly 4 years. Key gets a year splitting seasons and people are ready to fire him. Seems odd.
Based on what? Offseason coach speak at events and on radio? Every single HC sounds awesome in the offseason. We didn’t expect the ööööing öööö we’re seeing.
Because Key doesn't have a resume to demand better. That's the risk you take trying to jump from Offensive Line coach straight to Head coach. Think of it this way, it's not that Key is less deserving of time than Collins, it's that he is cheaper to fire and absolutely should be from where he came from. An additional layer is that Collins also should of been cheaper to fire than he was.I find it interesting that goof had NFL talent and got nearly 4 years. People have accumulated film on how we are using him so they are doing better against it. We don't seem to adjust to adjustments.Offense has been a stinker for at least 3 straight games. QB has regressed.
Pity we spent so much of that cash bringing in an OOC team that beat us. That's the thing really: Key burned a giant ass hole in the tolerance he could receive by losing that game.Winning takes cash
And remind everyone whose fault this whole situation is again? Has nothing to do with hiring Goof either. For a school full of elite smart people, they have mismanaged hires and contracts for 20+ years. Basketball program started the $$$ problems followed by cheap hires, followed by what has happened since CPJ handed GT a gift by retiring and saving GT $$$.Because people are realizing we went shopping in the bargain bin and pulled out a scratched album of Goof Part Deux.

I’ve said repeatedly that the AA has been horribly mismanaged for years. And remind everyone whose fault this whole situation is again? Has nothing to do with hiring Goof either. I agree. The defense gave plenty of opportunities by getting off the field. Sadly it was because BC scored almost every possession.Imagine that. Another post after a loss blaming the defense. I guess you missed the elite offense 4th quarter of:
5 plays, 28 yards - Punt.
2 plays, 0 yards - INT.
7 plays, 49 yards - Fumble.
By no means is giving up 308 yards rushing by the GT D excusable, but every week after every loss, the O issues in the 2nd half are ignored.
His accuracy was for öööö today. I get that he was gassed in the second half and let a few balls sail, but the accuracy issues in the first half are inexcusable.People have accumulated film on how we are using him so they are doing better against it. We don't seem to adjust to adjustments.

The team was in a rebuild with the 3rd new offense in 3 years (new QB, RB, WR’s as well) and a so called simplified D. Now simplified even more with the change of DC. Amazing that for the 5th time in a decade a school full of elite, smart people have had to make these changes to the D scheme.
So my question is, is the issue the scheme, DC or overall depth?
And the defense has been in “rebuild” mode since 2008 except maybe 1 other year.Gotta love the rebuild excuse. Tech has been rebuilding every year since CPJ left. A continuous rebuild. Love it.
