Marcus Wright may play Saturday!

IMO,

(1) PJ has done nothing to make me mistrust his decisions. Just the opposite. If he thinks Marcus is ready I'd put money on it that he's ready

(2) The stakes for this season have gone up. Instead of just trying to make a bowl perioed we are now trying to be ACC Champs and go to the orange bowl. With our defense, it's doable if our offense can continue to progress. If we were not in contention, perhaps we wouldn't consider playing Marcus.

(3) Marcus will still have a redshirt year to take if the coaches elect to use it, or if he gets hurt.

(4) Greg Smith may benefit from some competition.

(5) As others have said, it would be better to break MW in vs Gardener Webb than in Death Valley v. Clemson.

Hate to sound like a broken record, but PJ has won my confidence for now--I'll support whatever decisions he makes until he proves I shouldn't.

Prediction
Marcus Wright rushes for 100 yards against GW and breaks at least a 40+ yarder. Remember, this dude was a Parade All-American.

Prediction:

Marcus Wright gets yanked off the field several times for missing his blocks. Remember, this dude never had to block in high school.

prediction:

marcus wright yanks Beej out of the crowd and uses him as a blocking dummy to demonstrate to CPJ that he can block and actually relishes it

If he can yank me out from the upper deck and use me as a blocking dummy, I will WORSHIP HIM and hold PJ's preseason evaluation process highly suspect.

Here's to hoping he blocks good. We all know he can run. Me and Georgi could both be right.

Well, you are right, he said that he did not have to worry about this before, but indications are that he has bought into the blocking requirements and has made enough of an impression in practice for CPJ to consider this move.

PJ said in the mid week press conference that this is a move he's being forced to do due to depth.

He did say, though, that he wouldn't play him if he didn't think he was ready, and that would depend on practice this week.
