Just when you thought the ACC could not look any worse today...Delaware just scores a TD to make it Maryland 14 Delaware 7.

Del is an awesome team, but joe flacco is off the team this year. Still, they went to the champ game last year, they are no joke.

I'm glad that the timing never worked out right for ole Ralph to be our head coach.

Great OC, but crappy HC.

They're still a Div 2 school. They're not even the #1 team in Div 2 - they're #9. Maryland; however, is a joke after almost losing to them.

Wrong. Ignorance pisses me off to no end.

I expected as much from a GSU fan. A guy I worked for graduated from GSU and always preached about how Tech was scared to play GSU because we didn't want to lose to a Div 2 school. After the App St. fiasco, the comments grew louder. What other Div 2 school has beaten a legite BCS school? Delaware may be good in their little FCS league, but they'd be bottom of the barrel playing BCS schools on a weekly basis.

Also, you may want to look up the definition of ignorance. It doesn't exactly apply to opinions.

Feel free to browse the main GSU forum. You'll see that I am not "that guy". I was referring to your ignorance of the different divisions. It's also not a good idea to insult other programs. GT has slipped. A long way.

Maybe you should check what division 2 football is, because Delaware is not a part of it, and never was.

Self-owning post of the year.

Delaware is a member of the CAA conference in the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) which is formerly known as Div 1aa (or Division 2 as most people still call it). Here's a link to the current standings of that division. Feel free to correct me with an actual link if anyone can find one:

http://www.ncaa.com/football/default.aspx?id=74296

And I'll keep my smugness until someone can prove my ignorance otherwise.

Division II
Division 2 football is a step below Division I-AA.

Technically, you are correct; however, everyone I know - and probably most on this board - refer to Div 1aa as Div 2. That is mainly due to no one giving a rip about the "real" Division II or III.

All that being said, my original post (and the original point of this thread) is still acurate in that Maryland barely lost to a lower-division opponent.

HAHAHAHAHAHA DEL is a D2 school HAHAHAHA Valdosta State is a D-II school, west georgia is a D-II school. GSU is a Div-I FCS school which means we are division I in all sports but play in a sub division in football.

The order, talent wise, usually goes like this:

Div 1 FBS
Div 1 FCS
NAIA
Div II
Div III
Junior College Leagues (Although some teams here have tons of talent)
