I can't imagine a bigger let down. Play calling at the end squandered it. TB had an amazing second half. I don't know why you wouldn't just let them play, since that's what had gotten them there. Then again, I wouldn't be complaining if we made the kick and went on to win.
 
Holding call cost the game in all likelihood, but playing for the FG after getting it inside the 30 was the cause of all this. Why put everything on the kicker with that much time left? Just stupid, stupid football.

This is definitely the kind of stuff that gets coaches fired.
 
I dont care if Bond is calling the plays. The head coach needs to make the call in a situation like that and even if he did or did not he killed us either way. Chan Gailey needs to go!
 
Just like against Uva we didn't come out ready to play, and got behind early...Lets face it, we're a middle of the pack ACC team, not what we thought we were at the start of the season. We will win next week and take the pressure off chan. same ol' sh*t
 
Had we not had the holding call and Bell made the FG, it would have been the right strategy. As it stands, it was the right strategy. I definitely don't like the final play call AFTER the holding penalty, but the overall strategy was right. Bell is almost a gimme inside 40 yards.

NC is killing Miami a win next week is not a big deal. Miami is as bad as we are.
 
2pt conversion- terrible call, don't take the ball off the line of scrimmage 6yds back with a direct snap on that friggin "wildcat" formation. 3rd and 20, a DRAW with GRANT???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I agree, I had no problems with running the ball when we were on the 25 yard line, but calling a timeout to run the ball up the middle and then try a 52 yard field goal is patently absurd game management.

I disagree with everything you said. You have to finish the damn drive! Playing for field goals cost us the UVA game and this game. This is a perfect example of "Chan Ball" and the reason we will never be more then a middle of the pack team under his leadership.

bsakoff, a better name would be "pussy ball" b/c only a pussy would run it up the middle on 3rd and 20.
 
Taylor was hot in the second half and Bebe was a beast... They should have thrown it instead of running the clock down. 3rd and 20... Running a draw with Grant will never work. Anyway... Proud of Choice, Bebe, and Taylor for a tough second half effort.
