Maryland @ Va Tech game thread

Maryland is playing like a Tenuta offense. Make two great plays, then give up just enough yards.

Meh. This game will not end the way we want it to.
 
This pointless, time-sucking review has been brought to you by the NCAA rules committee. Taking football out of your life, minute by precious minute.
 
The NCAA has chosen to accomodate their stupid review system by taking plays out of the game with their new clock rules. It's stupid and time-sucking in every conference, not just the ACC.
 
Of all the reasons I've heard for the new clock rules, that one is the worst.

Well... they needed to shorten the game to accomodate television. Hard to blame them for this since they need advertising revenue. But, they could have done that easily by abandoning the stupid review system which doesn't really work that well, or at least modifying it to limit the number of reviews. (The current maximum number of reviews is unlimited.) Official review is what lengthened the game to begin with. If it's what created the problem and if college footall did just fine without it for a hundred years, why not just scrap it? Instead, they modify the clock rules and take plays away and we have to sit through countless pointless booth reviews every game. Don't believe me? Ask Paul Johnson or Urban Meyer. It sucks. Less football. And a disadvantage to running offenses like ours.
 
Maryland is aweful. They can't do **** on offense or defense. The biggest Jekyll and Hyde team in the ACC and that is really saying something.
 
That Lou Holtz is a genius. I mean, he figured out that Va Tech has the lead because they scored two touchdowns and Maryland didn't. I'd never have thought of that.
 
Maryland's return man looks like he's trying to tip-toe past a motion sensor alarm...someone needs to light a fire under his ass.

And omg fumble...ugh...
 
Wow what a major HOLD on #72...typical ACC refs missed it though...and apparently I'm the only one still watching the game ;)

Took him long enough but Fridge finally adjusted to VTs all out blitzes.

They really needed to turn the "muffed" punt into 7 pts.
