Matt Rhule

I'm not so sure they're friends. Honestly, I'd take Rhule, given his track record of turning around dumpster fires.

They have coached together at a couple different places and Rhule has talked about them being friends for over 20 years. None of that is a reason not to hire him, though... I'm sure Saban has plenty of coaching friends, and all of them except Belichick are clearly worse than him at coaching (and unlike Rhule, he actually hired Geoff Collins once upon a time.)

But he was actually a Temple coach that did well, and their fans loved him. Then he took Baylor to the Sugar Bowl in year 3 after their program was in disarray from off field scandals under Briles.

There's enough evidence to suggest he's a good college coach.
Just do it already. I am already fatigued by this BS around the program.

Clown had Ruhle at practices back in spring 2019. IIRC

Yep, they're friends. They do not appear to have much in common as coaches, though.

If we're going to rule out any coach with any association with Collins, that's a pretty lengthy list. Awful head coach or not, he's worked with and knows a lot of good ones. The coaching fraternity is too small to get hung up on who is friends with who.

Who wanted him?
You know, the proverbial They.
Y’all are actual morons

Y’all are actual morons

And it looks like you are the moron that had to start yet another thread on him.

I feel like Rhule will be successful anywhere he coaches. Chadwell has been my choice since November of 2021, but I wouldn't have been upset with bringing him on as long as it didn't completely break the bank (meaning decent assistants were out of reach).
