Maybe something positive

Some more positive news, if true....my "source" who has a damn good track record on rumors, told me a few minutes ago that Tech is getting 2 big-time transfers possibly this weekend, plus one more --- Paul Tchio from Clemson top 100 player out of high school 4 years left, the other is Pierce Quick from Alabama top 40 player out of high school 4 years left, both offensive linemen. Also we have another player visiting this weekend with them Kobie Turner, a defensive tackle and all America at Richmond with one year remaining
Thanks for info & updates.

I hope that these potential Transfers as a group turn out better than previous Portal guys.

Last yr, we got an OLB-DE from Bama, he played some , mixed results, meanwhile FSU got a Portal guy from UGA that plays the same position, he was All-ACC and was ACC Defensive PotY, 12 sacks 18 TFL.

Sometimes you get lucky like we did with McGowan, and FSU did with their guy.

an eleven tight end set
Innovative thinking like this is what we need in an OC. Looking for a job? You’d be like *Dr* Jerry Punch.
EDIT Deepest apologies to Dr Punch. I did not realize he is an actual MD.

I think the fans would get tired of the illegal formation penalties. But I would just ignore their concerns, anyway.

Well, I hope we get every transfer we want. But after believing the words provided by our coach last off season, I’m way past the point of believing anything. All I gauge on now is the 60 minutes of timed football during games. Maybe the football gods giveth what they didn’t give us last season with transfers.

Last 5 years vs Puke 1-4, yeah loser's mindset.

That 11 year hiatus from us playing "normal" CFB and using TEs has made it damn near impossible to Recruit a decent TE depth chart.

That means the residual effects of that win pctg. , that was .001 better than Chan has left lingering problems, whereas other "winning" GT Coaches never left lingering problems to be overcome, he was the only one, hhhm I wonder why......

You obviously love a system more than you love the well being of GT FB.

Don't make drive by cheap shots and I won't respond to them, and we'll get along just fine
I like winning meaningful games. Correction: I like winning ANY games. Ain't about a system.

You don’t have to reveal your “source” obviously. But you are old enough to not believe everything you hear so God willing you’re right!
I tell you what --- I doubted this guy everytime he posted something all season, and yet every damn thing he posted came true. I sure hope these do too.

The NCAA allowed teams to have extra ‘senior years’ this past year. This helped teams that had productive upperclassmen. See Wake, Pitt.

Tech was not one of them. We are loaded with young players at virtually every position.

The NCAA also allowed larger numbers this year in recruiting. It would seem that that would help schools with large senior classes. See ND and Tech’swas not small.

Tech should benefit in the next two to three years by following many other upperclassmen heavy programs of late.
Only if not handicapped with a circus for a coaching staff.
