In a way, I think this might be a positive in the long run. Let's assume that he basically told everybody - either cough up NIL of this much (mythical offer from Team X) or I'm going in the portal. Then, maybe we called his bluff. Then he goes into the portal then finds out the grass isn't as green as it looked. Rest of team observes, changes mind about putting self in display window like an Amsterdam hooker and gets back to work.
