NCAA is too pussy to do it. UNC will continue to skate. Factories will get even more brazen. To hell with the whole thing. The only way to change the situation is to stop watching games on TV.

Too late. I'm pretty sure they were on some kind of warning or probation already and have taken whatever steps were demanded to clean things up.

He's not wrong. There's two primary goals for the NCAA: (1) make sure that athletes aren't being paid, (2) make sure that athletes are students. Everything else is just detail.

UNC fundamentally broke one of the primary goals, and therefore should receive the highest penalty possible. We can debate whether or not the death penalty should exist, but as long as it does, UNC should receive it. (of course, they won't)
 
Maryland just hopes UNC will go down so a spot will open back up in the ACC

We one upped Maryland there. We added a guy to our compliance office who worked in UNC's compliance dept. from 2003-2014.

"Among his duties at North Carolina were oversight of all activities related to recruiting and initial eligibility, working directly with the ACC on interpretative inquiries and other general matters regarding daily operations, serving as a liaison between UNC coaches and the University’s admissions office and integrating the registrar’s office into the department’s eligibility certification process."
