I played on the OL in HS w/a fellow who I considered to be a bit challenged mentally. He was the meanest, nastiest, teamate I ever had in that he played thru about any illness possible. He enjoyed hurting people. I was playing Center, he at R.G. Once he vomitted all over some of us at the end of a play. I could go on w/other things about this guy but the one thing that stood out about him was, he was "MEAN & NASTY" and didn't NO body say that to his face. We trained together for the Golden Gloves boxing in which we both lost (lol) but on his part it wasn't due to getting physically whipped, it was due to mental.
My question:
did we recruit anyone this time that would fit into the "MEAN & NASTY" category?
This recruit would fit very well into RM-2's scheme of line play well.
If we got one this year, who is it?

actually Jay Finch is the guy that fits this. He is a mean and nasty DL, which makes him even meaner and nastier on the OL

That's what I've heard, too.

I know they like him at OG but I would love to see him at DT at some point.

i've heard that Finch was downright mean. I've also heard or read that he was a beast at DT also...he sounds like a great SA to land...

I vomited all over myself watching the fsu bball game. Does that qualify?

I'd say either to lay off the drinking or don't watch anymore games, cause if it isn't the drink then you got a condition...and you won't last the next 3 games I'd imagine.

However I can relate the feeling... :drink1:

33, who is the most likely freshman OL to play next year?

most likely play....assuming you are saying true freshman right? I think Foster....we have a need at RT.

but redshirt freshman, I think Nick McRae and Uzzi could start next year at C and RG.

hopefully none of them....you hate to put true freshman on the OL. They are just not strong or mature enough to contribute consistently yet.

If one did pop out early...it would likely be Foster.

Last year we couldn't play the young guys, this year they will play. Maybe one OL possibly two but there will be some upset upper classmen this spring. Hopefully that will bring out the competition.

Either they'll respond to the competition or we'll just be better with them sitting so it's all good. It'll be nice to have the pipeline start filling up with guys made for this system.

exactly, or they might leave and another spot opens. It will take this spring to clean up the rest of the non believers and we will move forward.

Of course...I am speaking of true freshmen....not redshirt freshmen.

The three redshirt freshmen will definitely push the 5 returning starters...and may even take a spot or two.

If true freshmen have to play with regularity there you would have to admit we are going to have some strength issues. Nat Dorsey did it as a true freshman and did pretty well...but never got better.

I still think Foster will be the first to see the field amongst the true freshmen. We will see on Finch.

Hive, I would be surprised if any TFR made it this year. There are one or two possibilities. The upcoming RSoph will push the others.

This scheme seems to put the OLine on islands, with Nat he had bunches of help from TE's and Guards.
