Media reaction to Collins hire

Comparing Temple's O to Tech's O on total points or total yards, as Bradley did, is dumb. There are fewer possessions in games with the option. He knows better but has a grudge against Johnson

Our offense this year had higher points per possession => unequivocally better offense

Do you guys just look for reasons to get butthurt? We play in the shitty Coastal division and haven't even sniffed an ACC championship since 2014. I would agree that we're not very relevant to the national media. Hell, we haven't even been to a bowl the last 2 of three years.

No. When was the last time we were ranked in the top 25 in consecutive years? Face the facts that we had become irrelevant in the national scene and even recently in the ACC scene.

You think it's reasonable to compare total yards/points of an offense that averages like 12 possessions to one that averages like 18?

I think it's pretty obviously an unfair comparison. It's like comparing the times of someone running 150m and someone else running 100m

That offense was long despised by opponents, but GT fans had also tired of the limits it placed on offensive recruiting.But what Whisenhunt represents is just another retread NFL hire likely out of touch with The Youth and, whether accurate or not, the image of a three-yards-and-cloud-of-dust, I-formation, Chan Gailey-esque offense. That connotation made him a tough sell. Whisenhunt’s Super Bowl berth was a decade ago.
