The Clemson Insider: New ACC names to know at Georgia Tech

Don't agree about Martin being in the fight for RB1. He'll have his time, but I don't think it will be this year.

This video talks about coach Collins, the downfall of Georgia Tech and what they need to do next, enjoy!

Y’all make statements as if y’all won’t get fact checked You are talking apples to cantaloupes. GSU wasn’t full option/ heavy flexbone like CPJ teams at least 2006 it wasn’t

Hell, the first drive alone shows from pre Hatcher to what Hatcher is not much of transition.

Brian VanGorder, a former defensive coordinator at Georgia, was hired to succeed Sewak. In the first of many controversial moves, VanGorder scrapped Georgia Southern's famed triple-option offense and did away with certain traditions, such as the team's arrival at home games on yellow school buses. Erk Russell had also died unexpectedly of a stroke on the eve the first game of the 2006 season after addressing the team on the night before. VanGorder led the team to a 3–8 record, the worst record at the time in the modern era of Georgia Southern football. After his one year as coach, VanGorder resigned to take an assistant coach position at the University of South Carolina, but accepted a job with the Atlanta Falcons five weeks later.

Make no mistake.... Jeff Monken and the flexbone in 2013 went into the swamp and beat the Gators. Not Brian VanGorder!

I couldn’t stand VanGorder but one thing he did that made sense was ending the idiotic tradition of arriving at the stadium in yellow school buses. If I’m not mistaken Paterno used to do this at Penn State. I don’t know how many of you have ever ridden in a yellow school bus, but I have and I can assure you there is nothing inspiring about it.

It went to the program's start on a shoestring budget and that it was started by the locals with nickels and dimes and not big fat checks.
Though Glenn Bryant (I knew him) and Allen Paulson did put in a lot of early money.

Though I am no fan of CGC and would love to see a new coach — tomorrow isn't soon enough — I will take objection to saying Sims' regressed last year. He went from 13:13 TD:INT ratio as a freshman to 12:7 as a sophomore and his completion percentage also went up, by 4 percentage points.
Sims may not have taken a big leap forward last year but I don't believe he regressed, either.

The coverage isn’t that different from how it was during the CPJ era TBH. There was a combination of both upbeat and downbeat news articles.

The difference is that for most years (except towards the end) CPJ’s teams overperformed, so the upbeat articles looked like normal articles, whereas the downbeat ones looked like they were dragging on him.

In CGC’s term so far, the team has underperformed, so the downbeat articles look normal, whereas the handful of upbeat articles really stand out and look kinda silly to be honest.
