Glad we didn't try to ram it up the middle and went wide on them. JT threw some good balls.
Defense sucked. That's about it.

yes, this! We've been back from another country for only 6 days and it was only game 2. We'll get better.
Don't know how many screens they ran, bubble or otherwise, but were seemingly never prepared for it. Better fix that.Glad we didn't try to ram it up the middle and went wide on them. JT threw some good balls.

Did anybody else notice that as soon as David Curry subbed in at LB, the screens immediately stopped working? He personally blew up at least 2 of them.
We also didn't cover the spread, which is a good sign if you're into that kind of mysticism.
These are my thoughts as well. Are we soul mates? Here are a few thoughts. The team had 6 days to get ready this week. It was Mercer, not a lot to get fired up about. It was really hot. We didn't have any reason to show much on offense or defense, just basic stuff. We pulled key starters before it got too late in the game. On the other hand, Mercer was highly motivated and has a roster full of 3rd and 4th year players including a 3 year starter at qb. They played the triple option the prior week. Except for a fumble at the 2 yard line we would've hung 42 on them. Gave up 10 in base defense, not bad.
Now compare uga. No travel, playing Nichols State who started a freshman qb. Uga has a Heisman candidate rb, best freshman qb in the history of mankind (just ask 680 and dwag nation) and really should have lost the game.
This will be the first "normal week" our guys will have had. It should be better temps. Let's see what happens and if we can dial it up a little.
