Im moving to Clearwater, Fl on June 10th to run a health club there, but I'm working at X3 Sports
in Marietta, GA. Anyways, I met the ga tech strength coach who's a member of x3 sports. I just asked
him a couple of questions on the yellow jackets and the ACC in general.

He told me 1st that the yellow jackets right now doesnt have the personnel for the 3-4 scheme.
Said Johnson wanted the 3-4 scheme even before hiring Groh.
Also that the wr from lithonia that is taking Thomas spot isnt mature to be dependable like Bay Bay.
That the Ga staff thinks that Va Tech and Miami are not just the strongest teams in the Coastal,
but the entire ACC.
I asked about FSU and he doesnt understand how people are picking the Noles high and
he kept talking about how the program had alot of drama and it wont get fixed in one seasopn.
He also says alot of people dont know if Jimbo Fisher is the guy for FSU.
Told me that Va Tech weakness this yr. is passing game and Foster filling spots on defense,
remember that Foster did think about leaving for UGA.
He's friends with Pat Nix and Nix told him that the players that Coker left is night and day compared
to what Shannon has brought in and that Shannon deserved more props than what he gets.
Kept talking about how on the way back from losing to Miami that the team kept saying that
it felt like they played the Dolphin's compared to played Miami in atlanta the year before.
Was hoping this years game in Atlanta is cold,lol
Said UNC is all defense and will drop 2-3 games because of points, if they're down 10pts, you got em.

We spoke for about 20 minutes and he's cool people, and I'll get more info speaking with him before

Asking our S&C coaches opinion on opposing teams is like asking the Braves trainer to break down the Phillies lineup. Interesting to hear his thoughts, but is he really an expert on the subject?
Also, who did we hire? I thought Ciano went to Buffalo?

Since I doubt he recorded the conversation, I'm sure the paraphrasing took on some embellishments and omissions. There's nothing much in this to raise eyebrows, and probably isn't accurate anyway.

This was supposedly our own S&C coach speaking...so he would have some knowledge about us.

I wouldn't put too much stock into the post, though.
 
So who the heck is our S&C coach now? Didn't our guy go to Buffalo, did PJ stealthily hire some one, so whats going on?
 
It's hard for me to take anything seriously that is so poorly written. Looks like a 3rd grader wrote it.

BS.

I call BS on the whole post. If I saw that guy/girl in person, I'd call BS to their face. I don't think he/she even talked to ANYONE let alone the S&C coach at GT.
 
I'm sure he twisted things, but it sounds fairly legit, besides the whole VT/Miami being the best in the ACC thing.

THE Pat Nix....WOW! Who gives a **** about anything Pat Nix has said since he was the QB for Auburn? He was fired from scUM in December of 08, how good of a handle on the current program could he possibly have?

This is incredibly insightful. He must have some insider info to come to this conclusion.
 
new S&C coach is Neal Perduzzi. He was Ciano's 2nd in command.
 
I don't know how much of that is twisted. It sounds to me like he was using an interview to pad his own hopes that GT will not contend with Miami this year.

Of course, losing four times in a row including the start of the downslide for Miami I would hate GT too.
 
I don't see why this isn't believable. The conversation isn't exactly groundbreaking. VT, Miami and GT probably are the best teams in the ACC, as has been said in many preseason polls. I also don't see FSU being anything better than mediocre with Fisher based on his performance so far.

Again, not exactly groundbreaking, but pretty believable.

What's not believable is that anyone who is part of the Tech program would tell anyone that we don't have the personnel to run our defense....unless he was just setting them up.
