Ok, the devastating hit he had on their qb was good enough (not a penalty, btw - he led with his shoulder - if we lost I'd be mad, but the refs have to protect the qb). But the shoestring tackle he had on Troy's first down following the endzone interception saved a 15 yard scamper. This was the first of plays that reminded me of classic Georgia Tech defenses under Tenuta. Richard blocked a pass after this, then Wheeler made a nice tackle to make them punt. It really did a lot for momentum.

Mike Cox ( for obvious reasons - best catch by a fullback ever!) & Michael Johnson get my players of the game. Reggie Ball got the press's - I don't know why, either. His numbers may have looked good. That TD pass to J. Johnson was flawless under pressure (I hope this is a sign of things to come). Otherwise, I didn't think he led the team like a 4 year starter in his last season.

Blah, Blah, Blah.
