He wanted a shot at AD. Wonder if he'd retake the next best thing a la Danny Ford at Climpsun.
 
I would give him a shot...if all a coach did was give interviews. Uh, no, he hasn't coached in what, 10 years? And that was his disaster at Kentucky.
 
Heck, why not bring back Pepper as offensive coordinator to run the 'bone, and the ghost of Bud Carson as defensive coordinator.
 
While we're bringing back ghosts, why not just go all the way and bring back Dodd? Then sell the technique to 'Bama so they can revive the Bear.
 
**** it let's just make an All Star coaching Staff:

Dodd, Heisman, Alexander, and Ross.
 
Bring back is not an option. He had his opportunity and left under his terms. Let him stay in the TV booth.
 
Bring BC back as HC if CG were to be let go or bring him back as AD if DRad bolts for LSU?
 
There has never been a coach on the flats more hated than Bill Curry, because of who he quit Tech to go coach, and when, and why. The Old Guard would never allow Curry back on The Flats.

Plus, Chan was statistically a better coach than Curry.

He left his Alma mater to coach at Bama. Damn, what a scoundrel.
 
I know one of the top 3 jobs in america at that time, how could he do that.

I wasn't there, I have only heard stories from Old Codgers regarding the issue, but it was extremely, extremely politically charged. Imagine if O'Leary had left to coach UGA instead, the year after UGA had intentionally hospitalized one of our players for a game advantage, and you might start to get an idea of how seriously the Old Guard hates Curry.

What was Curry's record at UK and how were his offenses ranked?

The GTAA would go bankrupt within 3 years if curry becomes the coach.

BTW, I admire the guy greatly and supported him when in Lexington. But if you think the boos were bad on Thursday, give BC a few years and you'll really hear some booing.
 
He will never be re-hired here as head coach, he is a fine person. He would make a fine AD if Dan were to go to LSU.
 
Let's be the first school in NCAA history to hire 2 head coaches. that way we can receive twice the enjoyment when we win or lose...we can just fire one of em' when we lose and make us feel better.

I rather like the idea of having no head coach, and just paying out the nose for good coordinators.
