Today reported that Clemson had not beaten AL since 1905, they as usual play with stats as we all know they have been in separate leagues since about 1957. Then they talk about QBs in leagues and never mention the ACC, any knowledgeable fan knows who the strongest league was and that the SEC got its ass kicked.

I don't expect the ACC to be mentioned much whenever college football is brought up this offseason, it fucks the narrative too much. Whatever ground the media was willing to cede regarding the best conference in the country was to the B1G. The ACC actually has a compelling argument for that title, whereas the SEC has absolutely none.

ESPN:

ESPN has had some articles on the ACC being really good -- there's one calling us "king of the bowl season" which says that anyone who paid attention the past few years should have seen it coming.

But it will take a few more years of dominance to change the overall narrative. SEC is the cash cow, after all.

Dead on. The other side is that if ESPN ever does acknowledge that the SEC isn't the dominating force it was a few years ago, dwarfing all other conferences, it will be done with the eternal attachment of "Is this the year the SEC takes back its rightful place atop college football?" They've invested too much in that narrative to do anything else. I hope I live to see the day that the SEC Network is no longer viable and gets taken off the air.

"King of Bowl Season" is very different from being acknowledged as the best conference in the game, or even in the conversation. And certainly much different from admitting that the ACC was better than the SEC.

This. The SEC was the best conference for almost a decade there. Decisively. It's just that the ball got rolling downhill and the media tricked themselves into thinking the gap was a lot bigger than it really was. It'll take some time to push the ball back up the hill. But this season was a significant step in that direction. And with the unproven coaches the SEC currently has in place at their big schools (UF, UT, uga, LSU, Auburn) I think we'll keep moving that direction.

OK, what is the ACC record now this year over the SEC. A lot of thread action here today

Yeah, Hugh Douglas this morning on 92.9 was saying he wasnt ready to admit the ACC was better than the SEC. I texted him the bowl records this year and he texted me back and said "this year". He offered no explanation as to why he thought the SEC was still better overall he just kept saying the ACC isnt better. Dude is a bandwagon tool.

Sounds like he's drinking that SEC koolaid still. If roles were reversed no doubt he'd say "clear dominance by SEC". Moving target syndrome.

The ACC went 10-4 against the SEC this year after last night. In the Tech-UGAg, FSU-UF, UofL-UK and Clemson-USCe games, the ACC is 10-2 over the last three years.

Not to be pedantic but it's actually 8-1. Only loss was us to the dwags in 2015. Throw in Louisville-UK then it changes things a bit.

EDIT: just saw your post

And those 2 losses were 1)us after our worst season performance in forever, but still within a TD of beating UGA, and 2)Louisville ööööting the bed this year.
Since we put a boot in Kentucky's throat through the back door, it's basically 1.5 wins for the SEC imo
