Who jumped out of their seat when Mike reeled in that catch with one arm? And if you look at the replay you will see the most excited player coming off the bench to congratulate him was Calvin. That was nice to see - a wealthy NFL superstar who'd rather be on the Tech sidelines supporting his teammates than wherever wealthy NFL superstars tend to hang out.

Think about the impression that will make on all the recruits considering Georgia Tech. As well as making good on our promise to give playing time to EIGHT freshmen.

Seriously, Mike Cox has great hands for a fullback. I wish that got him the ball more.

He needs to run the ball.

I think with our current OC, he will get to see the ball more. Probably not rushing, but certainly passing.

Cox is the best fullback in the ncaa, and has been for the last 2 years, and one of the best in last decade.

Not to mention that, he's a quality kid, takes it for the team and keeps going all 4 quarters. Hope he gets to toss another duck downfield this year for a big gain too :).

The ND announcers kept begging our coaches to give him the ball noting that he had played 238+ plays without a carry (this is before the catch).

They were feeling bad for the guy - "C'mon coach - 238 plays without a carry? - let him carry the ball!" It was kind of funny.

I think Mike will get some carries this year...Bond is probably just waiting for the right moment. I mean, everybody knows we don't use him right? So at some point I think he'll get a big carry or two.

I was cursing TB when he missed him near the endzone on the 2nd drive, I believe. That was a sure TD! The blitz came fast though so it's hard to blame TB too much.

If its 4th and 1 yard to go or 3rd and 1 and we need a first down... Mike Cox BETTER get the ball.

I was in the south end zone in good position when he made that *catch* and IMHO, it was definitely a *catch*.

Hate to say this but that dawg over in Athens is a pretty good FB too.

That catch last year single-handedly (pun) saved us from an embarassing loss against Troy. It was a bad throw by Reggie that he hauled in. I have never seen any evidence that it wasn't a catch. We had a great angle on the jumbotron. I'm a bit surprised and annoyed to read this notion, as the catch was nothing short of heroic.

Should Mike Cox be running? Who cares if he doesn't get carries. He'll get his. He's one of the many future NFL players on this team (Darrell Robertson, Jamal Lewis, Deuce, Wheeler, MJ, probably Adamm Oliver and a couple of our O-Linemen, some of our freshmen).

If you want to see some of his best playing, watch the Miami game from last year.

Serious question, what kind of Tech fan feels compelled to give a ugag player props on a thread talking about a Tech player? I mean, get a grip. It doesn't matter what you really think, there's just no reason for it.
