Mizzou DL Coach to Miami

Richt is gonna turn Miami around, and I mean quick.

The F$U Miami games should be interesting.

But all you guys worried about us with Mendenhall, Richt, etc. Need to grow a pair. When CPJ has full roster of guys who can run his offense and when Roof isn't playing with bandaids and duct tape, I'll put the Ramblin Wreck up against anybody.

2014 wasn't a fluke, it was a taste.

I want to believe!

It's been 8 recruiting classes. When does he get a roster of his guys?

Does that include our offensive line?

hopefully not. if we dont suffer any major injuries on the line next year, then i think we have the people in the "skill" positions to be a threat to every team on our schedule

thats my opinion, bud

A perfectly fine opinion to have; my only comment in my initial reply was that CPJ has "his guys", which includes our offensive line. Unfortunately, that line is going to go against the "defensive line wizard", as he is known, who trots out a top 5 defense with two star talent. That will make Miami extremely tough.

That Mizzou DL coach may possibly have been the best DL coach in the country over the past few years. They have been doing an amazing job of getting a ton of defensive linemen in and coaching them up into high draft picks.

If he is able to continue that tradition with the talent Miami is usually able to attract, then Miami will indeed be tough.

His ability to coach guys up combined with Richt's uncanny ability to coach guys down will be interesting.

Thought you were going for "dbag funny" but you were serious. Jesus A man. He's been here for nearly a decade. 2014 was a blip, everything else has tasted like mediocre. Every year we hear about how great next year will be because how great our back up QB is or how great some kid with offers from AppState, Florida Southwestern Tech, and Nestle Chocolate academy may turn out because of Johnsons brilliance. Still waiting for next year. We're like the ööööing Cubs of college sports, except no one actually likes us.

I'm not saying I want Johnson gone, tho I wouldn't oppose change, but I would like to see Johnson own up and do something. Every year, no real two minute offense, just ööööing chaos and balls sailing in the general direction of one gold hat and three defenders.

No more of this "when he has his players". That's getting old.

+1

Except the Cubs part. The Cubs are finally good öööö it!

Hilarious.

"When CPJ has a full roster of his guys to run his O", or whatever the quote was.

I guess he has been hampered by injuries for 8 straight years as we have won 37% of the time since 2008 when playing um, cu, fsu, vt and ugag. Our new standard of success.

Welcome to Georgia Tech football. Mediocre with a few joyous seasons sprinkled in. But CPJ's joyous seasons have reached a higher level than the 3 coaches that came before him.

Part of me really wants Richt to dominate down at UM (except when we play them :biggrin:). A) It rubs a little salt in the UGA wounds B) it brings some relevance back to the ACC. Between FSU, GT, and Clemson, the conference has shown pretty well nationally over the past 3 years. I expect that to improve with the new crop of coaches.

i realize that some of you have slipped into dementia or possibly suffer from Alzheimer's or perhaps the dreaded GildedMemory Affliction....but let me break it down for you

PAUL JOHNSON IS THE ONLY TECH COACH TO BEAT FSU IN THE MODERN FOOTBALL ERA
since 1980, we have beaten Florida State exactly three times in 17 games. In 2008, 2009, and in 2015. So Paul Johnson is the only coach at Georgia Tech who has EVER beaten Florida State in the modern football era. let that sink in for a second, moron

why you put them in the above list only shows your dumbass even clearer
