Money and Ticket Sales

Probably why he didn't even give him a warning because the document could have been connected with his police ID. Wouldn't be surprised if the officer removed his name tag during the search, too. Plus if this happens during the middle of the night the name tag would be hard to see anyway.

Who needs a name tag? It was this guy.

I got profiled in Eufala Alabama by a state trooper. Pulled me out of my car at midnight, accused me of transporting bombs and weapons of mass destruction, demanded that I acknowledge that he's a member by extension of the Department of Homeland Security, threatened to search my vehicle, and all sorts of mean nasty stuff. Then, after 45 minutes of this BS, he informed me that he does this all night long, to everyone, and anyone who cracks he searches their car for drugs. Gets one big cocaine bust per week that way. Then he sent me on my way without even a written warning.

My crime? I was going 8 miles over the limit.

Well do you look like a terrorist or have several ladders on top of your vehicle? I have deputy friend who tells me the higher number of ladders, the higher probability you're an illegal without a license. Plus, if the trooper says he does this to everyone, then he's not profiling, he's just a dick.

Not to sound silly, but were you and your friend speeding?

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I've never gotten a speeding ticket when I wasn't speeding.

Umm... yes. I was just saying they're out there, so beware, particularly because my right foot sometimes gets heavy on road trips. I'll keep the actual speeds to myself, but let's just say my friend was speeding a little, but I was behind and trying to catch up to him, so I earned mine. I'm still ticked he didn't radio back to warn me btw.

When the Rubber Duck lays the hammer down, Smokey Bear charges him big bucks!

FWIW, I'd rather take a nice charter bus than fly to Tallahassee or Nashville. If we were going to Oregon or something, that'd be different.
Plus, it's not like they're taking the yellow school buses like a high school team. It'll be good. Cast it in a good light from the beginning, it'll be fine.

Absolutely. Wider seats, more leg room, no pressure changes, and they can pretty much carry on what they want and use electronics from the get-go. Who needs the flying hassles when the trip's only an hour or so longer.
