Faulkner wasn't even a position coach at UGA and got passed over for position coach hires a few times. He is down their OC list, which starts with Bobo. I doubt he leaves his OC position here to be a position coach there.

And his main value to them seems to have been his rapport with Bennett, who is gone.

I know this has been hot speculation since the day CBF was hired for OC but I don't think he's going anywhere. Here are my reasons:
1) If anyone knew what the terrain at UGA was with Monken and the future for OC at UGA, certainly CBF knew.
2) If he knew, as almost everyone did, that Monken was going to move on, why would he jump ship if he thought he had a good shot at replacing him?
3) If he knew and everyone else knew that Monken was leaving, why didn't Kirby let CBF know he was a leading candidate to replace him when that eventuality occurred? Wouldn't make much sense to have to buy him out from your rival that you knew he was leaving for.
4) I think the job is going to Mike Bobo. I think CBF knew it was going to Bobo.

Of course I could be wrong but given that CBF was closest to the inside scoop and he decided to bolt for Tech would lead me to believe he knew what was coming and took the best offer coming to him.
 
Yeah I think this is pretty much Bobo's job to turn down.

I just wonder what Jeff will say now when he calls cousin Todd (he said Todd would pick up the phone and he'd go "TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!" Glad to see the good word being preached even at West Point).

I also wonder what this means for Lamar Jackson's future in Baltimore. Don't think Todd has a lot of option knowledge.

Gotta think it means Lamar is staying put. Can't imagine Monken would turn down a good gig and $2 million salary to go to a place with no QB......Wouldn't make good business sense.

Unless they tell him they're going to get one in free agency or draft one. Derek Carr is out of the picture in Vegas now too, but he has a limited no-trade clause.
 
Looking on the sidelines during the National Championship, you had Boob-Bo and Muschamp on the sidelines as 'analysts'. They're just buying their time to be hired again at UGAY for real coaching jobs there.

Yeah!!!! Instead they’re going to hire a proven loser Bobo who has sucked at all his stops as OC because he’s done it before. I ööööIN love this. This is a massive step forward for everyone not in Athena.

Carr has already told the Raiders he isn't accepting a trade anywhere, so they are going to have to release him.
