These are from her blog entries. The first one is a Did you know?

If Maryland loses to James Madison (ranked No. 6 in the FCS), the Colonial Athletic Association will have three wins over the ACC in the first two weeks of the season. Last week, Richmond knocked off Duke and William & Mary beat Virginia. Fortunately for the ACC, Boston College beat Northeastern, so the Colonial can’t get a season sweep.
The next one is some Q&A:

Dusty writes: Heather, I couldn't watch the game due to my location and I need an unbaised opinion.. Should the ref had made that holding call on T. Austin? Was it a legit call?

Heather Dinich: I think it was definitely questionable.

Steve in Arlington, Va., writes: Heather, sitting here watching the GT/Clemson game. I can't help but notice that GT's offense is the worst I've seen in years, far worse than VT's. There offense has basically accounted for 3 of the 24 points and now that Clemson has settled down, they are absolutely destroying the triple option. Assuming they lose (they are now losing 27-24), can we finally put to rest the notion that GT is some powerhouse in the ACC with some semblance of an offense? Their running game is average and their passing game - well I'm sure you are watching. Everyone needs to get a clue if they think that this joke will challenge the likes of Bud Foster's D. Don't insult his intelligence, ca'mon.

HD: Well, first of all, as we all know now they didn't lose. Second, I think Virginia Tech has been given credit lately as being the powerhouse of the ACC. Not sure you'll find many people who would dispute that, considering the Hokies have won three of the past five ACC titles. I don't think Georgia Tech's running game is "average," it just ran into a defense finally determined to stop it.

Morgan writes: so i had a question for you. Do you find it hard to write for the ACC when you graduated from Georgia Tech. Meaning, that sometimes do you feel biased to your writings

HD: I was unaware that Georgia Tech had given me any sort of honorary degree, although they should considering I've practically written a thesis on them since Paul Johnson arrived. So let's move on to Florida State, shall we? (I didn't go to school there, either.)

Mike in Clarksburg, WV, writes: Heather -It appeared that Miami tackled well against FSU (at least for most of the game). Do you think that they can slow down GT's triple option enough to secure a win next Thursday? Also, if Miami wins big, could they jump into the top ten or do they need the road win in Blacksburg for that? Thanks, Mike

HD: Well, they didn't last year, so I'm in a "believe it when I see it" mode when it comes to Miami defending the triple option. As for the rankings, I think it would take a win over Virginia Tech for the Canes to get that boost you're looking for, but it also has to do with who's doing what around the rest of the country. How far will Ohio State drop if it loses to USC, for example? But if the Canes start out 3-0, they should definitely be seriously considered as a top 10 team. And if they're 4-0? There's no question about it.

Okay, I made this point already, but I must say it again: Our offense produced 300 rushing yards (400+ total) and people are saying that our offense got "destroyed."

We have arrived.

I don't know why she picked half of those questions. Also, she seems to get way too much pleasure hitting the ACC while we are down.

Steve in Arlington sounds like a god damn jealous crybaby. What a douche.

Steve is a tool stupid as the average Hokie. I expect widespread and pervasive ignorance from them, but they at least should know the facts about their own dadgum team. PJ's average running game ripped them for 278 in PJ's third GT game ever.

Considering that the Hokie D only gave up an average of 91 ypg in the other 13 games, GT had OVER TRIPLE the average. They had 100 yards more running than the next best Hokie opponent and racked up 100 yards more than the Hokie average total yards given up in the other 13 games. (And 387 was the most for a Hokie Opponent).

The Hokies top O output last year was 400 and they only averaged 303.

Last year Clemson gave up 329 yards average and 111 on the ground. We were shut down for 418 and 301 this year versus 298 and 201 last year. This year we scored 16 offensive points versus 14 last year. So unless the Clemson D is significantly worse this year, I think we have hardly been proven impotent.

Simply watching us struggle through half a game and wishing that we suck (and by golly if I can git HD to say GT is average then they will be) doesn't mean you can ignore the half where we racked up 300ish yards as an aberration. Nobody has legitimately shut us down, but the best teams are able to give us trouble in the red zone and keep us from scoring a lot of points. VT is one of those teams.

Dinich can kiss my, the GT nation's, and the player's collective asses when we win the ACC this year. I abhor her so much.

It's ironic, because she loves GT so much. Like she said, she's basically written a thesis on GT since Paul Johnson arrived, and it's all been positive. I think that graduation question might have been a crack about that which she didn't understand.

I'm not a fan of all the crude sexual jokes that tend to come with any thread about Heather, however.

My point was that her looks are totally, completely irrelevant. So is the fact that she's a woman.

What matters, and the reason I don't read her articles - is that she's a moron.

but you'd still hit it

She is ok but nothing to brag about.
Frame of reference being campus standards, and I'd disagree, but whatever.

As for her blog, we'll it's just one person's opinion. I don't read much into it, and I somewhat feel she remains objective, regardless of whether I agree or not.

Her observation about the ACC vs. CAA is kinda funny. In a sad, sad way.

She says stuff on her blog that she knows will rile the readers (whether she believes what she types or not). It then generates 11ty posts telling her all about how stupid her blog is and how she knows nothing about football. It's all a big game, and pretty funny to watch.

Maryland had better damn not lose to JMU. As a conference, we can't take another shot like that.
