I wasn't expecting an objectively right answer to the question but there it is.

Curious if there have been any 5th down instances since that one...
 

1979 Roughing the passer controversy has always been there although these guys put hit's on QB's that would probably warrent a flag in today's game.
 
The only way to guarantee a victory is to dominate the other team. A close game can be easily decided by referees

This is unfortunately true... football is being turned into basketball. I like basketball when it's not two privileged jerks competing on The Voice with refs sitting in those big chairs; but it's often two privileged jerks competing on The Voice with refs sitting in those big chairs.
