Why not 4 for 4?We have four chances to upset a team in the top ten. FOUR chances. Surely, we can win 1 out of 4.
Only 2 of those will remain in top 10 when we play them. Geoff Collins will pull something out of his hat and win the last game of the season making everyone on the board fall in love with him.We have four chances to upset a team in the top ten. FOUR chances. Surely, we can win 1 out of 4.

I agree. It’s a brutal schedule. But I think it’s a really great opportunity. Most of our roster is really young. And this brutal schedule will force them to grow mentally and physically. So by the time they are juniors and seniors and they are playing for ACC championships and a chance of the college football playoff against tough competition, they’ve been there done that and will be ready. The schedule really is brutal. Looking at Lindy’s we play #’s 2,4,9,11 and 14 in their pre-season poll. Alabama plays #6 and 12. Clemson plays #4 and 9. Georgia plays #2 and 12. Oklahoma plays #7 and 15. Ohio State plays #10. Texas A&M plays #1. Iowa State plays #3. Cincinnati plays #11. UNC plays #11 and 14. Oregon plays #5. So, while the pre-season top 10 all play one or two games against top 15 teams, we play five. That is unfair our players and coaches. A 6-6 record this year means we go 6-1 against non top 15 teams.
Our playing non-conference against UGA and having Clemson our crossover with ND showing up on the schedule regularly in this decade is tough. I have enjoyed one national championship in my lifetime, and I have to admit we won it with a very manageable schedule. Virginia, Clemson, Georgia and Nebraska were the marquis wins; only UVA was highly ranked.
