Mississippi State made the GT game part of one of their 3 game packs. As a result lots of tickets are currently being dumped on Stubhub at prices between $4 and $20 per seat. If you were thinking at all about going, how can you not at prices lower than most high school football games.

Hotel rooms are tough to get; but the tickets are super cheap.

I'll be there....It's cheap to rent a Winnebago and drive over. the Rv lot is a happenin spot .... used to live in Jackson and have been to a few games (but this place hasn't got dick on Oxford).....unbelievable Talent

FYI...can't remember exactly how far Philladelphia MS is from there. But if you wanna make a good road trip...take an extra day and go to the Golden Moon or SilverStar Casino and maybe play golf at the Dancing Rabbit (2 Courses ... John Daly Courses....and they are F I N E ...Fine

Well of course not, MSU is the engineering school (sort of) in Mississippi.

There are still hotels in the region in Columbus, West Point, etc.; but it is premium prices for non-premium hotels. I got a good deal by going through Costco Travel at the Columbus Best Western, so you may be able to find rooms at decent prices if you are creative. Some of the hotels are only available if you book both Friday and Saturday nights; but I don't want to be near Starkville after the butt whooping Saturday night.
