MSU's Thoughts on us

Yo, I don't want to sound like a negative nancy, but this is obviously some prank and is not a real board. Both the computers in the state of Mississippi are at Ole Miss. So without a computer on campus, or pretty much in the state, how could this be real? Sorry to ruin that for ya'll.

I think you guys are seriously underestimating the SEC speed they possess over in Starkville.

Thread is, "Does anyone think we can beat Georgia Tech?" Most of the answers are "yes we can," but not necessarily "yes we will." Past that it's the usual crap.

We are getting some nice complements on our courteous our fans are, though, and the few GT posters in the thread aren't being obnoxious yet, so that's nice.

Post some quotes for the non-Scout members.

"They don't have a passing attack. As we know our pass coverage is the weakest link on D"

"Yes, we can beat Georgia Tech."

"I absolutely believe they can beat Ggeorgia Tech. Georgia Teck is one dimensional and that demension is going right at MSU's strength. They have absolutley no pass game. LSU exposed them last year in the bowl game."

"State will beat these guys. 8 in the box and play your assignments. Our d is built for this kind of football. We just held two succdessive running teams to under 33 yards each!"

"We have improved each week. Guys, I think we win, and win big. MSU 31 GT 14"

"I think we win, the coaches have made better adjustments, and decisions since the Auburn game and I see that as a positive. I agree we have to stack the box and play the run. If they try to go outside the tackle box we have to string it out and keep containment. If our defense can do that our offense will definately score points."

Those are the highlights. A few people came back and said it would be a tough game, but they're feeling pretty confident, it seems.

I think that MSU will be a bit down after that big loss to LSU. Losing a heartbreaker like that takes a lot out of a team and really discourages them. I hope we toast their ass again this year. Note, this is what MSU did against LSU last year:

LSU only won by 10 and were ranked #5 going into that game (also, the game was AT tiger stadium, one of the biggest home field advantages in all of cfb). MSU fans are encouraged by their close game with LSU this year, but it's not like they did much better this year against an LSU squad that had trouble beating Washington.

We beat the hell out of Miss St. last year after a tough, heartbreaking loss to VT. Just sayin'.

And this year, Miss St. is going to be out for revenge like Miami was. PJ has already expressed his disdain for the evening kickoff.

This game is D-A-N-G-E-R-O-U-S.

Some more quotes from the MSU board ...

"Hey Bo, you gonna' slaughter that pig this weekend? I got me a hankerin' for some ham"

"WOOO HOO GO #4, YoU show them thar northerners how its done!"

"I like glue."

"For Sale: Trailer, slightly wet. 1 br 1 bath. MEth Kit included."

Yes, but CPJ is a good coach. I am not sold on MSU's coach and his ability to get them up for this game like CPJ gets us up after losses.

Also, I did hear that CPJ doesn't like late games, but last year we were 2-0 in 7:30 games during the regular season. This year we are 1-1 in 7:30 games. We are 2-1 under CPJ in late games where we are favored to win. The one loss being to LSU.

Just found a Mississippi State forum that some of you guys like me who don't have a membership to Scout or Rivals can peruse.

http://sixpackspeak.yuku.com/

I like the feature that have at the top right where there is a drop down menu that shows you the forums for all the other teams in the SEC. That would be cool if we had one like that on here ... Beestorm?

But Auburn is the other team they've played who runs some sort of spread and went for 390 on 59 carries.

They said the same thing last year. Their defensive line last year was stout and held opponents to under 30 yard game average prior to playing us.
