That is, even more so than before.

I think he should think about retiring.
+1 he's a jerk!
I think he wants to lust about those SEC Girl's!
I wouldn't go that far. I still say he played a role in '90 by turning the '91 Citrus Bowl into a 3-hour long "GT-should-get-at-least-share-of-the-MNC" telethon. I can't hate on him too much.
Musberger has been an institution since he worked for CBS in the early 80's calling NFL games. Anyone who thinks Musberger needs to retire or he is a jerk needs to get a life. Musberger is a personality like Lee Corso. See ElCid's post above. Listen to the replay of that. Musberger was practically fighting for GT's right to the NC.
Musberger is better for college football than 99% of the other announcers. In my opinion he is only next to Keith Jackson as far as being the best. ABC losing Musberger to the SEC is just a real shame.
Brad Nessler FTW. Musberger used to be good. Nessler is the best in the business, and it's not close.

Musberger, like Corso, used to actually be an announcer. now he is a hyped-up clicheitarian. he acts like every play is the biggest play in the world and has basically become a caricature of his old self (like Corso and Vitale)
listening to him is not fun at all anymore, imo. just repetitive parroting and over-hyped sensationalism
comparing Musberger to Keith Jackson is like comparing Paris Hilton to Marilyn Monroe

GT will forever be in Musberger's debt for his lobbying for us to win the MNC in 1990. But after listening to him the last couple years, I think he should think about retiring. I would prefer he not tarnish his reputation by turning into what Dick Vitale has turned into.
I think he's polished his game and been groomed to be the next face of college football. Rece is my favorite right now, followed by Fowler.Am I crazy to think Herbstreet is one of the best? I always enjoy him announcing and never think he is too biased.
