Must Read

I am surprised that the police vehicle did not have a camera in it. I figured all crusiers would have them. That would potentially answer many questions.

I would also expect an investigation of the body to confirm the bullets in the shooting and the angle of entry. That would confirm if his gun was used and if he could have pulled the trigger. With the long barrel, there is a limited range of motion that he would have been able to pull the trigger in. It would also help determine if he was on his knees as his father suspects. Although I don't see any reason to suspect that from the article. It may just be from the emotions involved in the death of his child.

I'm sure the naacp's involvement is really helping things. They've already rulled out possibilities that don't include a racial outcome.

Despite what you may believe, in the deep south their involvement may be necessary to ensure justice. That doesn't mean that they'll just make up stuff to make it a "racial issue" either. I'm sure the facts will come out.

Until then, I suggest everyone refrain from saying anything (this goes for both sides) unless you want to look like a fool.

You should have heeded your own advice, fool.
What makes you remotely confident that the "facts will come out?

I'm confused. First you insult me for no reason... now you're saying that the facts won't come out either way?

What point are you making? Are you saying that the NAACP's involvement will lead to mistruths? Are you saying the facts are already out? Make your point clear before you start calling out names on a message board.

"Until the state releases its investigation – which could come as soon as next week – a vacuum of information has been filled by speculation."

there's my "remote confidence" the facts will come out jackass.

The problem is that the naacp isn't interested in justice. To rule out the possiblility of suicide with the information that is currently present shows that. Based on the information in the article, suicide is a possibility. Saying that it is not just fuels speculation of consipracy and racial motivation. That's irresponsible and dangerous behavior because it increases racial tension.

Since we only know what the media is reporting there is likely additional information that we are not aware of. However, unless there is information that proves suicide is not possible then they are just as you said "making stuff up."

Suggesting that everyone refrain from saying anything makes no sense. This is a discussion board. We are here to discuss. No one has made any judgements about who is innocent or guilty yet so I don't see anyone looking like a fool.

The NAACP has lost what little credibility it ever had a long time ago. If you have not figured that out you deserve to be called out

I'm not as hateful towards the po po as others are on this board, but this sounds pretty fishy to me..

The NAACP is a lot like labor unions. They had an original purpose. They haven't adapted one iota.

:+1:

If there can't be a NAAWP, there should not be a NAACP.

How about this, because there is no NAAWP, then there not be a history of oppression of white people in the US.

Oh wait there isn't.

So Jews, Mormons, Irish, etc were never oppressed?

Oh wait, they were.

Sometimes, thread drift is aimless and wandering.

And other times, it spirals in towards a disconcerting truth.

A young man with a promising future, a father who loved his son - one life ended the other destroyed.

And the focus turns towards the NAACP.
