Mutts spent $3.7 million on recruiting in 2019...

Probably not popular here, but $3.7M kind of sounds OK in light of the overall football budget. Still, I wish NCAA had the kahunnas to set a limit, along with a limit for coaches salaries.

They out spent #2 Bama by almost our entire recruiting budget

Just ask Tennessee... 3rd on the list for spending
Kirby Smart is not very bright. His mismanagement of quarterbacks on his roster cost him a national championship against Alabama using some ridiculous fake punt to try to get Fields into the game and appease him, and finally allowing the Heisman favorite to completely get away by going with a mediocre Jake Fromm.

But....but.....Fromm grew up a country boy and UGAg fan. Had to play him

Lets say you limit coaching salaries and recruiting expenses. Where does the money go? I imagine there would be a race to build the biggest and best student athlete complexes in the country with water parks, rollercoasters, in door sky diving, etc.

Can alumni use it?

What I dont understand about the bagmen is some of these kids are getting paid BIGTIME under the table and everybody knows it. This is tax free income and I'm surprised the IRS has never stuck their nose into it? I wouldnt want them to come down hard on the kids for tax evasion since they are being manipulated by rich dudes but somebody has to pay these damn taxes.

Why would the IRS care so long as they pay the tax?
Also, there's a reason it's called "bagman", the cash is untraceable!
