All Kirby does is go after the shiniest objects that everyone else knows about. And he tries to catch those by using the flashiest bait. It’s not a matter of him and his staff trying to dig around and find the best recruits to fit what they want to do, it’s about the splash of getting the guy bama or osu wants. And it’s not about building any meaningful relationship with those guys once he is recruiting them.

It’s like paying to go on an expensive fishing charter. A lot of money will help you pull in some very big fish. But it does not make one a good fisherman.

How long does Kirby get to hang around spending millions on recruiting without winning the prize? He's headed for the Mark Richt treatment seems to me.
