You would get bored with the cabin and start trying to figure out what football games you can get on the cabin’s TV.I've said it on here before.....
My father and I attend games together. We've re-upped ST's this season. He's 80 years old. When he gets to the point he can't go anymore, I'm probably done completely with college football. All of it. It used to be an enjoyable Saturday on the flats. Head over the the Varsity. Go to the ballgame. Now, we have all this off the field stuff and you get bombarded with ads and pumped in noise like you are at a damn NBA game or something at the game. It is just getting damn unenjoyable.
I can see the day, soon enough, where my $4k-5k a season go towards a nice relaxing trip. Hell, with what I have spent on GT football over the decades would have gotten me a nice little cabin somewhere.
Or be terrified and have door barricaded when I find out my neighbor wants to have a Deliverance style country partyYou would get bored with the cabin and start trying to figure out what football games you can get on the cabin’s TV.
$4K-$5K a season?? Are you buying the entire upper north for season tickets?I've said it on here before.....

Yeah the man who complains non stop about being banned from a forum isn’t gonna leave Tech football alone “because principles”. It’s a look at me post. You would get bored with the cabin and start trying to figure out what football games you can get on the cabin’s TV.
You nailed it 100 percentI've said it on here before.....

4 tickets, parking, souvenirs, food, fuel, my time, and I do donate a bit......I'm an I.E., the cost just isn't the tickets.$4K-$5K a season?? Are you buying the entire upper north for season tickets?
4 tickets is roughly $1K, food is let’s say $100 a game, fuel can’t be more than $50 a game. That’s $2K. Your time is opportunity cost and has nothing to do with actual $ spent. That leaves $2K-$3K for donation. I find it hard to believe someone who buys tickets in the cheapest section donates more 3X their ticket cost. Unless you just wanna make your dad suffer so you make him climb upper north.4 tickets, parking, souvenirs, food, fuel, my time, and I do donate a bit......I'm an I.E., the cost just isn't the tickets.
That said, I remember when 4 tix were below $100 each and it was just gravy.
I still can't get over the fact that these kids want all this money, yet they get a full ride to the school. Talk about hypocrisy. I understand they want to be compensated for their NIL, however, doesn't mean they should be paid millions of dollars. Prove to me that you're worth that by balling out and get into the NFL! Otherwise, just turn the factories into a minor league system and leave the traditional smaller schools to the NCAA. This intitled generation needs to learn you get what you earn!
By your theory the athletic director should make more than the head football coach. I doubt that happens at most big time football schools.SAs were being paid before: tuition, room, board, and books, free training, free tutoring, etc. and COA.
The issue is the big bucks their coaches were making and the profits their AAs were pocketing off of TV and gaming rights off their labor.
Still, what I produce for my company stays with them and makes them multiple millions over years of service. My bosses also make multiples of what I make.
Get used to it boys. That’s the way life works.
The problem is way, way, way too few SAs considered their degree a thing of value. Also, way, way, way too many SAs were given degrees with little to no value.
"I don't see this as hypocrisy. None of us have to "prove" our economic worth except to those willing to pay us. The issue is that these college athletes have an economic value to certain companies and individuals and the NCAA created a rule that they could not receive any financial benefit that accrues due to their name, image and likeness."
I don't have any issues with these kids getting money for their NIL, but some of them demanding certain things...it's just out of control.
Not necessarily. It doesn’t invalidate the analog anyway.By your theory the athletic director should make more than the head football coach. I doubt that happens at most big time football schools.
