At least you didn't pay almost $1000 for 4 tickets like that one poster did back in May. We told him to wait but he wouldn't. Some guy that lives in Canada.

They realized Texas is really bad and that we're coming for scorched earth.

That just means we 80k harder.... right? :hsughcry:
There's no way I could have waited until now to buy tickets. I'll go ahead and say you guys were right, but I would have been freaking out having all my travel plans arranged but no tickets to the game.

For future reference, tickets are an easy thing to leave until a few days beforehand because they will always be available on Stubhub. Almost always, those ticket prices will have gone down, and if it's a Tech game, it's just as likely you'll be able to grab some at face value from someone on this board. If neither of those happen, you just end up paying a bit more, but Stubhub will always have them.
My dad is the type of person who would go to South Bend without tickets to the game and then end up scalping them for less than face value, but I can't do that. Like you, it's worth the extra money to me for peace of mind.
Me too -- it's a long drive to endure only to disappoint your 10 yr-old son once you get there ...That just means we 80k harder.... right? :hsughcry:

My concern with Stubhub was the guaranteed shipping date of many of the tickets offered -- in some cases they were AFTER I would have already left on the trip. Take comfort in the fact that you aren't the only one. I paid about $200 per ticket. But with the way the exchange rate is these days.....that comes up to about 500 CAD.
Going to be so worth it though....can't wait.
