Compared to Louisville and FSU?

Florida State actually seems to be ranked higher than Temple, they're at #96. Based on US News rankings, anyway.

FSU can at least claim to be good at something - they're top 25 in Performing Arts. That doesn't come through in rankings because admission is based on audition, not SAT scores or GPA.

Temple is more like Louisville academically in that it's SEC-quality academics all around, and it's closer to Syracuse from a fanbase perspective: located in a big state where it's a marginal team and can't deliver the viewers.
