ND Thuggery

I don't think anyone doubts it goes on, my point is you will pay the price if you do it in the NFL, There you are dealing with peoples lively hoods and it won't be stood for!

Lets recruit Vanderlai Silva to play free safety ... I'm sure he has 4 years left.

I have never thought of Notre Dame as a thuggish team, but their players were 'chippy' from the first kickoff return when #41 ran in and starting smacking at Joe Gaston's arm after the play. I always felt the Patriots were one of the dirtier teams in the NFL, and when Weis was hired, I wondered if he'd bring a little bit of that nastiness to Notre Dame. Well, I guess attitude only gets you so far. 33-3. Whoop!

They got pissed because they were being manhandled after the snap, and they knew their fate was sealed.

i wasn't saying it doesn't go on, esp. in a pile, or even that it shouldn't. but that doesn't mean it's not worth pointing out when you see something flagrant like that. of course it's even more important that the players see it so, like mover said, they can give a little payback if necessary. it's like in baseball when a pitcher throws at a batter. i think that's fine, but you should know they're gonna throw right back at you as well. also, they're are plenty of clean playing guys that i'm sure appreciate it when the pricks get caught.

I think the reference to 'hand-to-hand combat' is almost laughable! When Uncle Sam gets serious about teaching you how to kill w/ your hands you learn right away that there is little use for all that spinning, swoopy stuff, you go in straight and make your kill within 30 seconds or you get killed!

Rule #1: There is no such thing as a fair fight.
Rule #2: Cheat and win(corollary to #1?).
Rule #3: Always twist the knife to the right and left
before pulling it out.

Sleep tight y'all!

Sorry but a blow to the head, after the whistle, right in front of the ref, will get you ejected almost every time.

i watched the replay. funny how you guys failed to mention the forearm shot that your player threw to the back of zibby's head right before the infamous stomp...

We didn't mention it because there is no such thing on the replay. What kind of damage is someone going to do with their forearm into a helmet anyway?
