I'm glad Key isn't too proud to admit this was a goof and is correcting it. I love Marco, but our best DL showing in years was when he left and Larry Knight took over.

I like the Simpson hire. He has ties to Georgia (Buford High) and the NFL (Falcons) which should be good for recruiting. I also think Tim McFarlin would have weighed into this hire.

Santucci is young, but so is this overall staff. By talking to Simpson we have a good read on what Santucci is doing.

If Sherrer does not remain on staff he at least deserves a solid letter of recommendation. He was a faithful lieutenant who kept us in the UGA game and looking salvageable in the back half of the bowl game. Hard to know what he could have done with a clean slate.

Whoever gets slotted we have to hit the portal hard after the NY6 bowl games. We need solid transfers with game day experience at DL and LB.
